Together

2025

Ballpoint and colored pencil on paper

60 × 84 cm

The work narrates the longing for connection. It depicts two hands, describing two different positions. It tells of an encounter with the needs of the other person, in which a radiant light unfolds.

The image can also be read upside down, illustrating a mutual reaching out and coming together.

According to the long-term Harvard Study of Adult Development, people who nurture their bonds with family and friends and invest in community are happier, healthier, and live longer than those who are less connected. The decisive factor here is not the number of contacts, but the quality of the relationships.[1]

»Together« addresses the relevance of authentic connections and asks about giving without demanding in return.
