Interaktive Installation

Cables. I look out my window in Bogotá, where they hang long, heavy, present, tangled, torn, and knotted above our heads. They integrate all buildings into a network, linking us together in a cer tain way. It is similar with our network of relationships. There are entangled, broken, dysfunctional, heavy, simple, isolated, one-sided, loose, deep, super ficial connections.

Our communication and actions transmit impulses of tension to our immediate environment and beyond. It is connectedness that shines brightly in our lives, a radiant warmth that spreads and illuminates the darkness within and around us.

Lo que Nos Une (What Connects Us) is an interactive installation that operates using Arduino programming. Viewers are registered through

ultrasonic sensors, which individually alter the lighting behavior of the LED cables in response to their presence.
